This is just what I’ve been looking for!

Hi Tim. I’m the fellow that picked up the boiler on Tuesday. I really wanna thank you very much. This boiler has been a God send. I picked it up Tuesday, hooked it up Wednesday, fired it up Wednesday evening, and this thing is just what I’ve been looking for! You and Jerry were very nice. I really appreciate this. I just had to tell you that I really like your boiler, and I can’t say enough nice things about it!

John

I love, love, love this stove!

My son hooked up all the mixing valves and the new temperature distribution valve in the barn. This thing is burning a third of what it did last year. House is perfectly heated and barn is toasty as well. I’ve never ran out of hot water. I love, love , love this stove. Thank you for all your help last year to get things Ironed out. You’re the best. Customer service gets an A+.

Please read my testimony

For starters I feel it necessary to explain my background. My father and all 4 of my uncles have heated our homes with firewood all of our lives. I have a passion for cutting and processing trees for firewood to the point in which I am also a recreational arborist! I have also been in the plumbing trade since i was a 12 year old boy in 1982 and then went on to start my own own business in 1994. I have been involved with over 6000+ new construction homes in Bloomington Il in my career. I have also built several properties as a general contractor. In 2008 I expanded my services in my business offering spray foam insulation and continue to do so. I share this, so anyone reading this will understand my level of knowledge that I have been blessed to obtain in my career. I understand hydronic heating from a plumbing standpoint, water gpm flow rates, delta T, heat loss calculations, BTU transfer, I understand insulation from a builder perspective and insulator contractor perspective, convection, conduction, and r values and K values (most do not know what K-Value is), I understand the extreme differences from seasoned firewood to non seasoned, the differences from the BTU output of species of firewood, sizes of split wood versus round and the burn times. There is a lot that goes into this wood boiler information. I want all that read this to know all these variables truly affect the performance of your boiler, the size of your property (home, shop, garage) , the insulation properties, the wind, the wood you use, seasoned or not, blah , blah, and blah. I feel it necessary to share with you as well that I have been a winter snowmobile sport enthusiast in the upper penninsula of Michigan for 24 + years now and have seen countless types of outdoor wood boilers!!!! THEY ALL WORK!!!!! When I found Ridgewood Stoves/EZ Boilers, I discovered that there was not any misleading claims and useless marketing in their business approach. I discovered an extremely simple design and maintenance friendly unit. I split the atom asking questions to Craig ( the previous owner) and Tim (the new owner) and they both have endured my phone calls and questions. It’s fair to say that they Might have even gained helpful constructive criticism from me as well. I have customized things in my operation to allow this boiler of mine to heat a 4800 sq foot walk out ranch, a detached garage with a bathroom, and a 50 x 60 x 14 tall outdoor building, I keep the garage and the shop at 50 and the shop on a timer to minimize the draw from the boiler. The boiler does the job but I do have to monitor it at times when I am heating the shop to work in the shop. This is understandably more square footage in which this boiler is designed to do. But quality hardwood, seasoned, and the ability to monitor it allows me to use it for all three buildings. I rarely heat the shop above 3000 sq ft shop above 50 and it is insulated very well. My house is loaded with windows south facing with 6- 8×6 windows and 2 slider doors and 4 other large 5 x 7 windows. That’s a lot of glass! That leads to inefficient heat loss calculations. The boiler gets the job done!!!!
I have also added a couple of features and they 2 were simple to add. I added a heat shield above the door and a motion detection light at the peak of the boiler. I added a 150 cfm blower fan due to the excessive sq feet I am heating, I extended the chimney to increase convectional drafting as I am on a Hill in flatland Illinois that improved my boilers ability to breath, I raised the boiler on a thick slab as well so I don’t have to bend over as I am 6’4″ and I have had 3 back surgeries because of my stature and work ethic! Plumbing and tree work can destroy a man’s skeleton!
PLEASE NOTE, I originally felt extremely comfortable and recognized quickly the integrity that Craig had in the business when I purchased my stove back in 2013, his devotion was 100% to the customer and his quality in these stoves. He picked Tim to be the new owner to carry out his mission and I can personally testify to the both of them for being thorough business men and men of integrity in a business world that lacks integrity today. There is no marketing pleas, no misleading information and ALWAYS someone to call when needed. They are quick to guide you in buying parts for the stove through GRAINGER versus themselves if it helps you out. They truly aren’t motivated about the all American dollar as much as they are motivated to keep the customer happy! They have answered their phones late at night, on weekends, and holidays for me and I personally am shocked at that. I have called at times I didn’t expect an answer yet the call was taken. My hat goes off to this company and I am thankful to have done business with them. I am also thankful to know that there a few of us out there in the business world that maintain humanity and integrity in their operations.
God Speed Ahead,
God Bless,
Plumber Shane!

Great Machine!

Tim, this is Toby. You brought a boiler to me this past fall in Grayling, Michigan. I’ve talked to you a few times about questions, concerns, issues I’ve had learning the machine. I know you talk to a million people but I just wanted to say that the machine is working amazingly and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. My house is toasty. My family is happy. I haven’t used an ounce of propane in months. It’s been awesome. thanks again for your continued support and for this great machine!!

A fantastic product!

Hey Tim! I just wanted to tell you that I lit my boiler for the first time today. I got the water up to temp and then turned 3 of the 5 heat zones on in my house. Mind you, my house is huge….this boiler is having no problems whatsoever keeping up with the demand!! My gas boiler isn’t even thinking about firing! Thanks for making a fantastic product!! My wallet thanks you too!! Take care brother man!!

Works great highly recommend

This is my second Michigan winter using my boiler. It easily heats my 1900 sq ft farm house. It works just as good, if not better than other boilers, for half the price. Also has great customer service.

Excellent service and Owner.

I purchased my stove around July 2019. EZ Boilers shipped my insulated PEX line, Heat ex changers , Pumps and components that came with the installation kit first so I could start the install of the lines and prep the site for the stove. I did all of that on my own pretty cheap and easy. Then they delivered the stove the second week of August and the owner delivered it himself then spent about an hour going over what all I should do for finishing my install and start up and made sure that all my questions were answered before he left. I wish all businesses were this easy to work with and cared as much as they do about there customers and products. I priced buying a different stove before i knew about EZ Boiler and it was going to be $10,800 for just the stove by itself. My total price from them was almost $3,000 less and It included 90% of what i needed for install. I just had to purchase the PEX fittings for install. I’m currently have the large boiler and its heating a 2,200 sq.ft home my hot water, and a 40 x 60 pole barn and the barn isn’t insulated yet and its working great. When I need a new one I will definitely be buying from them again.

OK, last night was the first night our boiler heated our home I know that it is later than I had hoped to get the boiler online.I had two guys lined up to help this old man, both with hvac experience. I think I have heard every excuse there is. I have learned a lot about hvac. What an experience! Thanks to the advice you left me, and your website, everything has come together. Thanks Tim.

Do Not Hesitate!!

I live in central Indiana and I am A first time wood boiler owner/user. After talking to a few co-workers who have wood boilers, I decided to do research on wood boilers. After talking to several different dealers that could not answer all the questions I had and was wanting a lot of money for their product I reached out to EZ boiler. There was not an answering machine Tim answered the phone. We talked and he answered all my questions with very good answers. I then waited a week or two then called him back and made the order for the EZ boiler Pro and the accessory kit. Without asking for any money down he sent the accessory kit. It arrived like 2 days later. That gave me the opportunity to get everything buried and ready to go when Tim delivered the unit two weeks later. He set the unit in place and went over everything without looking rushed. I fired my unit up this past weekend, I must say that I am very pleased on how easy everything is and how much heat this puts out. I have a 2500 sqft house and a 1200 sqft shop.More to come later this winter.

Buy a Ez Boiler! It will change your life!

I called Tim about a month ago acquiring about boiler from him. He answered on my first attempt and I talked to him my whole 30 min lunch! He was very informative and answered all my questions. When him and his wife delivered my 5000 sq unit he spent 2 hours with me explaining everything and making sure I was confident in what I needed to do and know. He also stated if I forgot something we talked about to call at any time. I installed and hooked up my boiler all myself I am a D.I.Y person. It took me a month. During that time not only did Tim answer my call or text at almost any time of day to help me out or explain something but it was always him on the other end. I feel I got a great deal for a great quality product. I highly recommend looking into EZ Boilers.com you wont regret it.

Perfection from the very begining!

Last summer we stopped by the EZ Boilers office to learn more about their products. Tim greeted us with a smile and patiently answered all of our questions. We purchased the EZ Pro model and it was delivered to our home-stead in September. What a wonderful experience!, Tim is such a kind, generous and helpful person. The customer service he provides is exceptional to say the very least!!! Upon placement of the boiler he walked me through the installation process with a smile, once again patiently answering all of my questions. From October 1st through May 1st We burned 12 full cords of wood to heat a 2800’ft 1920’s farm house with a 2200’ft newer addition as well as heating our domestic hot water . Our home has two forced air furnaces, each with its own heat exchanger. The boiler is located downhill 150′ from our home. It has surpassed all of our expectations!!!! We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Tim and his crew for providing an amazing product at such an affordable price. We are very grateful for what you do…

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Friday, March 15th my boiler stopped working due to a bad aquastat (my stove is almost 8 years only) I contacted EZ Boilers at 8 pm, not only did they answer the phone, they walked us through trouble shooting the problem, and they had someone meet me at the shop that night at 9:30 pm to get me the part I needed to fix my stove. They also walked me through how to program the new part over the phone when it was past 10:30 pm. That right there is OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you EZ Boilers for your help.

Impressive product.

Can’t say enough about how great the EZ Boiler is. I am new to using  this type of system for heating. It was easy to install. The digging was the worst part. Tim was very helpful and readily available to answer my operational and installation questions. Definitely the best customer service and support of ANY company I have ever worked with.

We moved in mid 2018 and didn’t have a lot of time to collect wood. That being said, I had to burn a lot of green wood mixed with seasoned. It worked flawlessly. We are heating two water heaters, a 1500 sqft house at 70*, a 700 sqft garage at 55*, and a 400 sqft guest cabin at 65*. The stove only needed loading twice a day, three during the “polar vortex” which was -11 or lower.

If you’re looking for an outdoor stove, I would highly recommend an EZ Boiler, not only for the outstanding product but also the attentive customer support.

I survived the Polar Vortex 2019

Well, I posted last fall after setting up my unit. We are still in the heating season, but after the past few weeks hitting actual temps of 22 to 25 below zero. Not to mention wind chill putting it at just freekin COLD. I feel comfortable giving my opinion on this stove. The stove has met or exceeded all my expectations. I could not be happier. My biggest concern when purchasing this stove was with the natural draft as opposed to the air induced draft I had with my previous stove(different brand). I was concerned that the makeup time would not be able to keep up with my hot water and heating demand. I am no longer concerned. The stove has kept up perfectly. My thermostat has not left 74 degrees yet. and my hot water outlasts my entire family. Thanks Tim. Love the stove!!

Quality wood stove

I had a central boiler stove that went bad and a new central boiler was too expensive so after talking with Tim at Easy Boiler I decided to gamble and ordered an Easy Boiler. as soon as the truck pulled up to my house I was relieved, I could see the stove was well made, the welds were nice looking, the door was large and well made, and Tim (the owner) was very friendly and helpful and his fork truck on tracks is the perfect tool for moving the heavy stove, he put it right on the blocks I had set. Hooking up the wood stove was easy, same hookup as my old stove and I reused my existing equipment.
Even though the days are warm I fired it up last weekend to test it out and everything is working great, I almost cant wait for the cold and blowing snow to give it a good test, I’m hoping it uses less wood than my old one. So maybe I will add to this come January!

Looking forward to heating season

Purchased the ezboiler from Tim this summer to replace a 5 year old stove (different brand) that developed a couple leaks in the firebox that the other company didn’t stand behind. Even though I sent in the required samples and used their conditioner and followed all their rules. Well, let’s move past that (thought I already had, but I guess not). So I decided to go with Tim’s stoves. I really liked the fact that when I visited his shop, he was completely involved in every aspect of the stove, he answered all my questions and then some. He showed me how well built his unit’s are and he backed it up when I could see his stoves in action heating his shop, house, as well as other houses on the property. So anyway, I’ve got the stove all swapped out. It looks good sitting there, and even though I’m really not in any hurry for cold weather. I am ready and anxious to fire her up. I will try and remember to post after the season and let you know how it went. So far it has been a very pleasant experience dealing with Tim and his ezboiler stove.

A great heating option

4 or 5 years ago I purchased the largest stove from EZ Boiler (back then it was Ridgewood Stoves. I am very pleased with the simplicity and efficiency of this outdoor wood furnace. I heat a 5 bedroom home and my woodworking shop (2700sq’) and it does great! Only issue I had was it it started leaking water due to the front plate cracking because of heat. This problem was corrected by their new design of these stoves. Long story short I traded it in for a new one (new design). Tim gave me a super deal on trade in and was very helpful. The customer service I experienced was top notch. I recommend these stoves as on the top of the list considering cost, function, and craftsmanship.

EDITOR”S NOTE: when the new owner took over Ridgewood Stoves, he quickly realized that the design flaw had to be fixed. Not only did he redesign it, he also continues to work with former Ridgewood customers to help them. We even offer free instructions to anyone who wishes to fix their old Ridgewood Stove by themselves or with the help of their local welders. Customer satisfaction is our #1 goal.

WOW WHAT A GREAT Boiler FOR THE MONEY

Tim told me this boiler would pay for itself in one year! IT DID! I am heating an 8000 SQ FT. building for less than 50.00 a month I buy slab wood I fill it twice a day. You can stop by Gib’s Super City 6088 6 Mile Evart Mich 49631 and see it run. Tim is a great guy to do business with I had never installed a boiler before, he helped me with great advice and answered all my questions. I researched a lot of brands and I am so glad I found EZ Boiler Brand It a great product and i saved a ton of money!

We absolutely love it!

Love it. My husband puts wood in at 6:00 as he heads to work. He puts wood in at night when he gets home. The temperature in the house never drops below 69. Had the stove 2 years and I have not touched it yet. All the mess is outside, ashes, wood, etc. I used to have all that in my house and hated it. My father-in-law has the bigger one out on the farm. He’s 87 and still operates his own stove with no help, but his boys come over to cut wood for him. They laugh the whole time together. Very easy to load up with wood. With propane costs being so high, it was well worth the investment.

Great stove!

I’ve been using my Ezboiler stove for 3 seasons now. It keeps my house and my pole barn nice and warm no matter how cold the weather gets. Uses a lot less wood than my old Central Boiler stove too. Best thing is that I can even call them on Sundays for helpful advice. Love it.

Mark Fogelsonger

Nice product.

I cannot tell a lie. I heated my home with an old, inefficient fireplace. However, if outdoor boilers had been available in my day, I most certainly would have chosen an Ezboilers stove. It appears to be a very nice product. I like your star rating system too, but some stripes might be nice as well.

Excellent service, unheard of pricing

I did my homework with respect to my boiler purchase. Initially I was settling in on the Central Boiler product, but I had a difficult time reconciling the price. For my application of needing to heat approximately 7000 square feet, that unit would have cost me in the mid $9,000 range. They insisted I use “factory recommended” parts such as the heat exchangers, Pex and so forth. Their pricing on that, too, was over double the prices I was finding locally and on line. It finally dawned on me that the high cost was necessary to support a multi level marketing scheme and large factory and warehousing costs.

Continuing my research I stumbled across a site that actually broke down the various offerings and it was there that I noticed that the EZ boiler had thicker metal in some critical areas than the higher priced units. When I first noted the EZ boiler price, I thought it was a misprint, happily, I was wrong. All of that prompted a call to Tim, the owner, deliverer, trouble shooter, warranty, phone, office and CEO guy. Please note that when you call you are not talking to a sales guy or clerk, but the actual owner of the operation.

Tim struck me as a straight forward and honest guy, so I took the next step. He asked me to measure both of my air handlers in my two zone house and with that quoted me a price. That ptice including the PEX, heat exchangers, pumps, and two garage heaters was $2,800 less than just the Central boiler outside unit, and an astounding $6,000 less than the CB price quote for the boiler, and their hardware.

With that, I decided to commit. I called Tim and placed my order. He did not ask me for any money at all. He explained that he would build the unit and deliver it and if I approved of it at that point, I could pay for it! The amazing thing is that the very next day, not even 24 hours later a freight truck showed up and unloaded all the PEX, and heat exchangers, pumps and air handlers. Again, please note that I had not paid him a penny at that point.

A couple weeks later Tim called me to arrange for the delivery. He showed up within an hour of when he said he would and off-loaded my new boiler. He then spent some time with me chatting about the thing and answering my myriad of questions. He is a caring and thorough guy who definitely put me ahead of his need to drive across two states to deliver another unit after leaving my home. He didn’t leave until I was satisfied I knew enough to tackle the installation. I actually paid him a little more than he quoted me because he was so kind, helpful, and caring.

So for ten days I have been tackling the installation, a couple of hours a day and am nearly finished. I would recommend installing the unit and parts yourself so you know first hand exactly how everything fits together. I am eagerly awaiting my finish day and starting to heat our home. Our electric bills had hit a crisis point last year that I feel is unsustainable, and with us owning a lot of wooded acreage, our heat is practically free for now on

Thank you Tim, and your wife for doing and delivering on what you said you would

Heavy Duty stove at down to earth prices

I have been an outdoor stove dealer for over 15 years. I have worked with several companies, but they all seem to go out of business after ten years and you are stuck with their problems. With the EZ Boiler, I am not worried about getting stuck with a stove with no warranty since that is a non-issue with this particular brand. It has a simple design, made of 5/16″ thick steel in the firebox, well insulated, works well, reasonably priced, and has only 2 electrical parts that may need to be replaced–both of which are readily available on the internet. In the event that it should ever leak, at least it is made out of heavy metal that can easily be welded and the design is simple, making ALL parts of the stove readily simple to get to and simple to fix. Since I was a dealer for years, I was replacing a unit and had the plumbing done, making installation a breeze. I even added a metal trim kit to it to give the installation a cleaner look. I have been using the stove this winter and am well satisfied with its performance.

Excellent value and exceptional performance

After having brand X for many years and finding cracks in the water jacket this season, I investigated a replacement with almost every wood fired boiler available to heat 3,000 square feet. After calling many manufactures to speak to someone that knew the product I found the common reply was “You will need to call a distributor”. Can I speak to an engineer? “You will have to call a distributor”. So, I did. Only to find they had a somewhat arrogant attitude regarding pricing and installation “secrets”. I have thirty years of wood fired heating experience and found I was spoken to like an idiot.

I then came across EZBoiler. I called and spoke to Tim for over 45 minutes explaining my prior experience and what I was looking for. Tim was a breath of fresh air. He listened to my questions and provided details to each question. Without further delay I gave him an order for a unit. Tim shared he was passing through my area and could deliver it within four days AND set in place. Tim arrived on-time and actually aided me in placing the foundation blocks to match the new boilers footprint. He placed the unit and again went over the care and maintenance details. Tim said what he would do, and did what he said he would do.

We have fired our new boiler to find it performs exactly as Tim stated is should and would. We are holding 180f with seasoned hardwoods. The EZBoiler actually uses 20-30% less wood as comparable units costing 2X the cost.
Many thanks Tim and EZBoiler for the professional personal service, great value and a quality product.
